The Original Superbike
1975 Honda CB750 K5 (SOLD)
This nice CB750 is a very original unrestored bike with a lot of honest patina. The paint and seat (grab strap off, but included) are original as is most of the rest of this iconic 1970s motorcycle. It was subtly modified with Honda Euro handle bars (wiring inside the bar) and a Euro H4 headlight. This gives the motorcycle a more aggressive look and a better riding position.
The original 4 exhaust pipes are in good condition (no holes) and sound great. Sometime in the past, they were de-restricted along with the airbox, which combined, gives back some of the power that Honda took away as the CB750 had to meet more restrictive sound regulations.
This bike runs very well. The carburetors have been rebuilt, a new chain/sprockets (17T countershaft) installed and numerous small parts replaced with Honda genuine parts (when available) or high quality replacements.
All the lights work including the indicator lights (turn signal, high beam, oil pressure and neutral). The horn honks too! The speedometer cable is new.
New Continental “Twins” (RB2 and K112) tires with fresh tubes replaced the old worn out rubber. These are the correct sizes (3.25-19 and 4.00-18) and construction for this model.
All in all, this 23,000 mile CB750 is ready to ride and is a sure bet to appreciate in value. it comes with an original owner’s manual, spare fuses and an almost complete tool pouch (only missing the spark plug socket).
